Anyone here still have leg pain after a laminectomy?

I had a laminectomy L5/S1 (without fusion) on Jan 25, 2007. I still have the same pain in the same places I had prior to the surgery. I have researched all the usual sites and the answers are not at all encouraging. I expected to at least be able to get by with minor residual leg pain that eventually would get better with time. I still have to use narcotics daily to get any relief. I tried just using Extra Strength Tylenol but that didn’t touch the pain. I used Lyrica for a few days but it made me feel weird. I really am looking for others who have had a laminectomy to give me some encouragement and maybe share their experience with me. Will this awful leg pain ever go away so I don’t have to plan my life around it??? Just for the record my leg pain started on St. Patrick’s Day 2006. I tried all the conservative treatments before I finally had to give in to the surgery. I am currently doing PT which doesn’t seem to help. I would love to hear that I will get better with time.

I have been to physical therapy, steroids, steroid shot, massage therapy, osteopath, bone manipulation, chiropractor, cervical collar, pain meds, cervical traction, prayer meetings, I have 2 hernaited disks in my neck from a bumper car ride over 15 months ago and have had no progress in any of the treatments I have tried including the one I am in now which is osteapath manipulation.

  • If i went to the doctors for my dislocated elbow, how much pain would there be?

Im pretty sure i dislocated my elbow. I cant fully stretch it out or bend it. My wrist hurts a little but besides that nothing else hurts.

    - Can it fully heal with home treatment? How long would this take?
    - If the doctors put it back, how would they do it and how painful?
