Four weeks ago, a small ulcer appeared on my tongue. I consulted an expert doctor. He put me on three day’s medication. There was no improvement. On my second visit after three days, he asked me to continue for another three days. I found improvement. But then, a second one and a third one appeared too, all on the tongue. But these disappeared very quickly without causing any pain. But the fourth one has been so painful and still continues after two weeks of medication. What worries me is that the cause of mouth ulcers is not medically proven to this day. The doctor acknowledges this. Can anyone help please suggesting treatment for relief of pain and also lasting healing?

What can I do about it? My doctor prescribed anti-inflammatory medication but the pain is still there.
